Praying for a wounded Philadelphia (PA) Police Officer

Our Merciful Lord, once again, it is Your amazing grace we see in action as
You continue to protect Your peacemakers across America. Thank you for
answering this following prayer O’ Lord that was made from the depths of our
hearts for Your Peacemakers across America: “Keep me safe, O God, for in you
I take refuge. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my
right hand, I will not be shaken.” As the news reports indicate this
Philadelphia Police Officer was shot in the leg, we know it could have been
much more serious had it not been because of Your amazing grace. Lord, we
lift up this wounded officer and ask You to pour out Your love and grace on
his heart and mind as he comes to grips with this near-death encounter. May
Your love grace, mercy, comfort and unending love settle upon his heart and
mind and draw him ever so close to Your side. May you especially be with his
family as they come to grips with this near-tragedy as the Thanksgiving
holiday season approaches. Most importantly, Lord, we ask You to pour out an
extra measure of Your grace upon the men and women of the Philadelphia
Police Department as they come to grips with this attempted murder upon one
of their colleagues. May You fill the investigators with supernatural wisdom
as they investigate this deadly incident in which the suspect is still on
the loose. May You grant the Philadelphia Police wisdom to be able to locate
the suspect and take him into custody without incident. May You raise up
witnesses to aid in locating the suspect. May Your angels encamp around
every Philadelphia Police Officer and every law enforcement officer across
America and keep them safe from all harm and danger. May You draw this
wounded officer ever so close to Your side and if he does not know You, may
he come to know Your love and grace in a real and personal way. May Your
protecting hand continue to be upon every law enforcement officer across
America and may they know Your word says, “Now may the Lord of peace himself
give you peace at all times in every way”, this we ask in the name of Jesus
Christ, Amen.
