Lord Jesus, We come into Your Presence to lift up a wounded Mobile Police Officer who was shot in the arm. As the news reports indicate his wound was not considered life-threatening, we thank you that his life was spared especially during this approaching Thanksgiving season and now ask you, Lord, to grant the doctors and other medical professionals wisdom and insight in order to effectively treat and completely restore this officer to full health. May you especially settle your peace, grace and love upon the family of this wounded officer as they rally around him to love and support him as he undergoes treatment. May your grace also extend to the men and women of the entire Mobile Police Department who are deeply concerned for their friend and co-worker. May your peace that passes all understanding guard the hearts and minds of every deputy. May Your grant the investigators wisdom to gather the facts surrounding this encounter as they are searching for the suspect. May You grant them supernatural insight to be able to locate him and take him into custody. And should the suspect try to harm any other law enforcement officer, may You cause his weapon to malfunction. May You cause this suspect to be confused and filled with remorse and turn himself into authorities. May the members of the Mobile Police Department be granted an extra measure of Your Grace and Mercy as they cope with this attack on one of their co-workers. As we know incidents like this can cause emotional trauma in the present and in the future, we therefore ask you, Lord, to send your endless mercies upon this wounded peacemaker and the other officers and first responders who were initially at that incident and may You preserve their hearts and minds in You. May every member of the Mobile Police Department know Your word says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” May many officers and family members be granted Your peace that passes all understanding and be given an opportunity to know the Love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ—especially this Thanksgiving season, this was ask in the name of Jesus, Amen.
