Our Merciful Lord, law enforcement officers in Texas and across America are continuing to recognize their need for Your mercy and grace for You are our Rock, Fortress and Deliverer. And right, into Your arms of love and mercy, we lift up a Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy and two Agents with the Texas State Attorney General shot in the line of duty serving a warrant. We therefore come with great boldness before Your Throne of Grace to seek Your mercy and comfort upon these law enforcement officers as they are being treated for their wounds. As we do not know their conditions, we continue to come before your throne of Grace and ask You to grant the medical staff wisdom and insight to be able to accurately diagnose and treat their injuries. May the comfort and presence of Your Holy Spirit touch the family members of these wounded officers and sustain them with Your amazing grace. O’ God spare their lives. And as this investigation is unfolding, we also ask You grant the investigators wisdom as they piece together this crime against Your peacemakers in which the suspect is possibly barricaded. May You grant the investigators with supernatural wisdom and insight to apprehend this suspect and bring him to justice. May You cause the suspect’s weapon to malfunction or misfire if he tries to harm any more law enforcement officers. May You cause his mind to be confused and full of guilt and remorse. O’ God, may Your hands of justice to prevail. May Your peace settle upon the entire Harris County Sheriff’s Department and members of the Texas State Attorney General as they have been obviously emotionally and spiritually challenged at this attack on their co-workers. May Your grace and protecting hand extend to the entire sheriff’s department and surrounding agencies and protect them from anyone else who might be planning to harm them. Most importantly, we ask for Your mercy, grace, comfort and peace to settle upon the families of these wounded peacemakers and draw them all ever so close into Your Presence. As there were a small army of first responders, paramedics and doctors involved in treating these law enforcement officers, may You pour out Your grace and strength upon them to sustain them through this emotional time. May You continue to touch the hearts of many law enforcement officers still at that scene and may you draw them close to Your side for mercy and grace. Lord, raise up Godly officers and chaplains to be an extension of Your love to those in need. And if any law enforcement officer has backslidden or does not know Your Son, may they know Your word says that, “Now is the day of salvation.” May every law enforcement officer be drawn unto the love of Your Son and may those who need Your Touch be drawn to Your Son Jesus, in whom there is everlasting life and forgiveness of sins, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
