Our Merciful Lord, it is unto You that we have grateful, humble and thankful hearts for sparing the lives of two more of Your Peacemakers in different parts of America. We are so thankful that these peace officers were able to go home to their families. As the news reports the suspects in both incidents are in custody, we come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to lift up these two wounded servants into Your arms of love. As they have both been treated at a hospital, may Your mercies and grace continue to be upon their bodies, their hearts and their minds and they recover from these near-death encounters. So lord, we want to lift up the men and women of the El Paso and Calhoun Police Departments into Your Loving Arms. May they intimately know Your love, grace, peace, mercy and comfort as they come to grips with these two near death encounters. We especially lift up the families of these two wounded servants as we know they had to endure receiving phones calls and/or visits that their loved one was hurt which we know can cause great emotional stress. So Lord, we ask You to touch the heart, soul, body and mind of both of these wounded servants and draw them ever so close to Your Side. May Your grace prevent them from having to endure any emotional trauma associated with these near-death encounters. May You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to be a light to support these wounded servants. May many know Your word says, “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” So Lord, may Your amazing grace be ever so real in the hearts of these wounded servants. May You grant the investigators wisdom to gather all of the evidence and facts in these cases and bring peace to many involved in these incidents, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
