Our Merciful Lord, Our hearts are broken, O’ Lord, as we join with the men and women of the Jamaica Constabulary Force in mourning the on-duty murder of Constable Toddmar Allen. We therefore come boldly into Your Presence to lift the men and women of the Jamaica Constabulary Force and place them before Your Throne of Grace. As we know this loss has deeply affected them, we ask for Your Arms of Loving kindness to supernaturally uphold them as You carry them through this time of loss. And as we know the family of Constable Allen is in deep mourning, we ask You to be their Rock, their Fortress and their Refuge right now and in the days ahead. May Your Peace that passes all understanding be supernaturally revealed to the Jamaica Constabulary Force and the many family members and friends of your fallen servant-peacemaker. As the news reports there is a massive manhunt underway for the suspect, may You grant the investigators wisdom to track down this suspect and bring him to justice.  May You cause this suspect to be unable to rest or sleep and be guilt-ridden until he surrenders.  May You prevent this suspect from harming any more law enforcement officers and if he tries to use his weapon may You cause it to misfire or malfunction.  As we know many other law enforcement officers had to witness the aftermath of this tragedy, we know this will affect those involved emotionally, physically and spiritually. So Lord, may Your grace, love and peace continue to settle upon their minds, heart and spirit and draw them ever so close to Your Side. May You continue to comfort the men and women of the Jamaica Constabulary Force and sustain them with Your arms of loving kindness. May many be comforted with Your word as follows, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”  As we know traumatic incidents like these can affect many, we ask Your Holy Spirit to settle upon the heart and mind anyone who has been traumatized and preserve their mind, body and spirit in Your Arms of Love. May they be kept from enduring any short-term or long-term emotional trauma. May anyone struggling emotionally or spiritually know Your word says, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” And, “I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” In the coming days as a final farewell will be prepared for their fallen comrade, may You use this solemn ceremony to point anyone grieving unto the love of Your Son and may many examine their hearts and be drawn to the love of Jesus and receive his forgiveness and eternal life. And as a result of this tragedy, may You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to reach out and point many to the Cross of Jesus Christ, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
