Our Merciful Father, we thank You, Lord, for sparing the lives of these three Detroit Police Officers who were wounded and injured in the line of duty and allowing them to be able to go home to their families. We therefore come with boldness and thanksgiving before Your Throne of Grace to seek Your mercy and comfort upon these three officers as they are recovering from their wounds and injuries. May You continue to grant the medical staff with wisdom and insight to be able to accurately diagnose and treat their injuries and restore them to full health. May You grant the investigators wisdom as they piece together this crime against Your peacemakers as we know officers had to use deadly force. May Your peace settle upon the entire Detroit Police Department as they have been obviously emotionally and spiritually challenged at this attack on their co-workers. May Your grace and protecting hand extend to the entire Detroit Police Department and protect them from anyone else who might try to harm them. May every officer know Your word says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Most importantly, we ask for Your mercy, grace, comfort and peace to settle upon the families of these officers and draw them ever so close into Your Side as they cope with the near loss of their loved ones. May You use this incident to continue to awaken the citizens of Michigan and America that an attack on any peacemakers is an attack on You. As a result, may You cause many more prayer warriors to arise to pray for Your servant-peacemkers. May You continue to touch the hearts of many officers and may Your Holy Spirit draw them close to Your side for mercy and grace. May every officer know Your word says, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” May every officer in Detroit be drawn unto the love of Your Son and may those who need Your Touch be drawn to Your Son Jesus, in whom there is everlasting life and forgiveness of sins, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
