Our Loving Father, We come before Your Throne of Grace, Lord, to seek Your mercy and comfort to be upon seriously injured Sour Lake Police Officer William McKeon who was beaten in the head during an arrest. We are so thankful to You Lord for sparing his life although he sustained serious injuries. As he is being treated at a hospital, we ask You to grant the doctors and entire medical staff wisdom to quickly identify his injuries and then apply the correct treatment to restore him to full health. May Your amazing grace, peace and healing touch settle upon Officer McKeon and draw him ever so close to Your Side. May your grace and mercies especially be with his family as they are at his side at the hospital. May your peace that transcends all understanding settle on their hearts and minds as You carry them through this time of uncertainty. May you be with the men and women of the local law enforcement community in Texas especially those colleagues close to him and uphold them with your peace and grace. May You also be with the Hardin County Sheriff’s Department who is investigating this horrific attack and grant them wisdom and insight to help with the overall investigation. We are so thankful the suspect was later captured.  May this suspect be drawn close to Your side and come to receive You as savior and Lord.  Lord, every day, there are many small law enforcement agencies who handle calls alone like Officer McKeon.  So, Lord, we want to continually bring every one of these officers unto your mercy seat and ask for your protecting hand to be upon them wherever they go. May you protect them at all times. May the law enforcement members of the community of Sour Lake know how much they are loved by YOU and that Your word says that how blessed is the man (or woman) who takes refuge in the Lord. May many friends and colleagues of this Officer McKeon be drawn to you Lord—the only One who can and will provide them a peace that passes all understanding. Lord, may You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to express Your Hope and grace to his family at this very difficult time. Lastly Lord, through this near-tragedy, may many come to know You in a real and personal way, this we ask in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
