Our Father in Heaven, for the second time this weekend, we come with sincere hearts of gratitude and praise to thank You for sparing the lives of two more law enforcement officers—this time in Castle Hills.  As the news reports one officer has been released from the hospital, however, the second officer is still being treated for his injuries.  We, again, come before Your Throne of Grace to seek Your, presence, peace, comfort and mercy to be upon these officers as they are being treated at a hospital. We ask You to grant the medical doctor’s wisdom to treat their injuries and restore them to full health. As we know this incident has deeply affected the men and women of the Castle Hills Police Department, may they know You will always be an ever-present help to those in need.  And as the families of both officers are surrounding their loved ones, may You wrap Your arms of love around them and draw them close to Your Side. May You comfort those in need with Your words as follows, “The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  May Your amazing grace continue to touch the hearts and minds of both officers and may they sense Your Holy Spirit sustaining them. May You grant the Texas investigators insight and wisdom to piece together the facts of this collision. As we know incidents like this can cause short-term and long-term emotional trauma, we ask for Your Amazing Grace to touch the hearts of these injured officers and keep them ever so close to Your side. May You continue to touch the heart and mind of these injured officers in the hospital and at home and may You surround them with Your angels. May every member of the Castle Hills Police Department know Your word says, “…for in the day of trouble, He will keep you safe in His Dwelling.” So Lord, may You use this near-death experience to cause many officers to fervently seek Your peace and Presence.  . May You cause any officer who have strayed from Your path to re-commit their life to You once again. And may many officers who do not know You be given an opportunity to know that now is the acceptable time, that now is the day of salvation. Hear our prayer O’ Lord and continue to pour out Your mercy and grace upon the men and women of the Castle Hills Police Department, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
