Our Father in Heaven, as another attack has occurred upon Your servant-peacemakers, it is Your mercy and grace we seek to be poured out upon this wounded deputy.  First, Lord, we are so grateful to You for sparing his life.  As the news reports indicate the deputy is stable, we ask You to grant the medical doctors with wisdom to continue to treat this deputy and restore him to full health.  May this wounded deputy know You will be his Rock, Fortress and Deliverer and that You will never leave him nor forsake him.  And as his family is at his side, we know they, too, were deeply traumatized and emotionally affected at the news of this incident.  So, we ask You—Our Mighty God, to pour out a blessing and Your grace upon his family members as they love and support him.  May You draw the family together in the bonds of love.  May Your love grace, mercy, pace, comfort and Presence be made known to them in a natural and supernatural way.   May every co-worker know Your word says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”  May You grant the investigators wisdom and insight as they investigate this shooting in which a suspect died.  As we know this wounded deputy and other first responders may experience emotional trauma, may Your grace touch each of their lives and preserve their hearts and minds in Your love and Presence as You carry them through this emotional time.   So, May the God of peace who loves us with an everlasting love descend upon this wounded deputy, his friends, family and co-workers.  May all be drawn ever so clos to Your side.  And if this deputy or any other co-worker or family member does not know Your peace, may You draw them unto Your side to know that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
