Our Father in Heaven, we come in great earnest before Your Throne of Grace to lift up Officer George Day who was injured in an on-duty collision. As the news reports he is critical but stable, we place him into Your Arms of Love and mercy and ask You to pour out Your Amazing Grace upon him. May You raise up the correct medical specialists to continue to accurately diagnose his injuries and then provide the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery. May Your Presence and comfort especially be with Officer Day’s family as they are at his side supporting him through this very difficult time. Lord, we ask for Your supernatural healing touch to be upon this Officer Day and draw him ever so close to Your Side. As he is likely sedated, we ask You to touch his mind and spirit. May Your Holy Spirit reveal to his heart and mind that You are with him and it is You who is carrying him through this difficult time. May these words bring comfort to hurting harts: “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.” And, “Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.” As we know this has affected countless other Nassau County Police Officers, co-workers and friends, we ask You to reveal to Your grace and Your presence as You carry them through the coming days. As there were a number of paramedics, first responders and medical staff who were initially involved in treating Officer Day, may Your grace and mercies touch their hearts and draw them close to Your side. So Lord, may every officer and family member let these following words dwell deeply in their hearts, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Bring comfort and healing to Your injured servant. And if Officer Day does not know You personally, may You allow Your Holy Spirit to draw him unto Your Son and receive You as his Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus we Pray, Amen.
