Our Gracious Lord, It is with great earnest that we come unto Your Throne of Grace to lift up critically injured Trooper Christopher L. Wooten into Your arms of love. As the news reports indicate he was involved in a collision during a pursuit and transported to a trauma hospital, we come into Your Presence Lord, the Great Physician, and ask for Your mercies and grace to intervene and touch Trooper Wooten from head to toe. May You, first, grant the medical staff wisdom to use their skills and training to diagnose and render the correct treatment in order to fully restore Trooper Wooten to complete health. May Your love, presence, mercy, grace and peace especially settle upon his family who are rallying at his side as we know they are filled with a multitude of emotions, anxiety and concern. May Your word bring them comfort and encouragement as follows, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” And, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.”  May your grace and love especially touch the many other North Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers and first responders who were first on the scene to render first aid to their injured comrade. May Your presence and peace sustain them and uplift them with Your amazing grace and presence. Grant the collision investigators wisdom and insight to piece together the details of this collision and located the suspect who fled. We especially lift up every member of the North Carolina Highway Patrol as they love and support the family of their injured brother and each other at this very difficult time. Grant these law enforcement officers Your amazing grace to carry them through difficult days ahead. And if this injured trooper does not know Your love, may You supernaturally speak to his heart and mind and reveal to him, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” May many law enforcement officers be drawn unto Your side, Lord. May You heal Trooper Wooten in any way that will bring Glory to Your Name. May You raise up Godly troopers and chaplains to be a tremendous support to any in need. May many be drawn to the Love of Your Son in whom we can cast all of our cares upon. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, Amen.
