Our Gracious Lord, countless law enforcement officers across America intimately know what the pain is like when a co-worker is seriously injured. We, therefore, join with the men and women of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations as they rally around Agents Joy and Luper critically hurt during an explosives investigation. We come boldly into Your Presence to seek Your amazing grace and healing power to settle upon both of these agents. Grant the doctor’s wisdom to continue to identify their injuries and provide them with the best medical care to bring about a full recovery. O’ Lord, we ask You to wrap Your Arms of Love around every member of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations and allied agencies as they rally around these injured comrades. May Your peace, love, grace, mercy and everlasting comfort touch their hearts, minds and souls as they endure this near tragedy. As we know there were likely a number of officers and first responders who had to witness the aftermath of this explosion, we ask You to pour out an extra measure of Your grace upon them as they had to endure this tragedy up close. And as we intimately know the family of both agents are in shock and so greatly concerned for their loved ones, we ask Your Amazing Grace to be made ever so real in their hearts and minds and draw them ever so close unto Your Son to be comforted by His loving presence. May those in need be comforted with Your words as follows, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. So we say with confidence, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.” Grant the investigators wisdom to determine the facts and circumstances of this explosion. O’ Lord, May You use this near-death experience as an opportunity to draw many unto the love of Your Son in whom there is forgiveness and everlasting life. And if any co-workers may have strayed from Your Path, may they be drawn back unto Your Side. Continue to pour out Your healing power upon these agents. Finally, may many hear the good news and know in their heart that, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” O’ Lord, may You continue to reach into the hearts of every family member and uplift them you’re your loving Arms, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
