O’ Lord, once again, we come before Your Throne of Grace as we are so grateful for Your wonderful mercies to have been upon Sergeant Thomas Agredano and are so thankful that You spared his life and the life of his partner.  As the news reports his wound is not considered life-threatening as he was shot in the leg, we ask you to grant the doctor’s wisdom and insight to accurately diagnose and treat his wounds and restore him to full health.  We, therefore, lift up Sergeant Agredano into Your Presence and ask You to wrap Your loving arms around him as he recovers from this near-death experience.  May Your peace that passes all understanding sustain him and may he be drawn ever close to Your side for the continuing comfort of Your Holy Spirit.  May Your mercy, grace, love and everlasting comfort especially settle upon the family Sergeant Agredano as they, too, endured the near loss of their loved one.  May Your grace additionally touch every member of the Walker County Sheriff’s Department as they rally around to support Sergeant Agredano and his family.  May Your grace and mercies touch the many paramedics, first-responders and doctors who treated Sergeant Agredano from this traumatic attack.   Lord, may You use these life-threatening incidents as a reminder and training aid to law enforcement officers across America to continue to forever be vigilant in everything they do.  Lastly Lord, as we know incidents like these can emotionally and/or spiritually challenge the hearts and souls of not only the deputies involved, but also the men and women of the Walker County Sheriff’s Department. May Your amazing grace settle in their hearts and minds and draw them close to Your side for Your word says, “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.”  May every laws enforcement officer know that You ordained their jobs as a peacemaker to protect and serve their community wherever they may be.  Continue to touch Sergeant Agredano and draw him close to Your side.  May many law enforcement officers come to recognize their need to draw near to You for You will then draw near to them.  May many come to receive Your forgiveness and receive Your Son as their Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
