Our Father in Heaven, today is another very tough day for the citizens of Texas and the Texas law enforcement community as three more of Your peacemakers were shot in the line of duty. As multiple innocent citizens were shot in which several have died, it is only You, Lord, who can truly carry those through this incident who are grieving and mourning ever so greatly. May Your words as follows be seen by countless men and women in need of Your touch and grace as follows: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”; “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”; “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.” As these three wounded law enforcement officers from Odessa, Midland and the Texas Department of Public Safety are being treated, may You empower the medical staff with Your wisdom to identify their injuries and apply the correct remedy to bring about a full recovery. Right now, Lord, as there is a large contingent of law enforcement officers across Texas who have been deeply affected at the mass carnage, may they know Your Word says, “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” As we know many spirits are crushed, we seek the power and presence of Your Holy Spirit to carry them through this very difficult time of injury and loss. May You awaken the leaders of America to support law enforcement efforts in all areas as they are simply servants of the Most High for the good of all Americans. As we know this has affected the families of hundreds of law enforcement officers and citizens in Texas and abroad, may they intimately know Your Love, grace, peace, mercy—and most of all Your Comfort and especially Your Presence in their hearts and souls. Wrap Your arms of love around the family of these wounded peace officers and families of those wounded civilians and fill them Your grace, comfort and mercy. May Your amazing grace especially touch the hearts of the men and women of the Odessa Police, Midland Police and the Texas Department of Public Safety. Hold them ever so close to Your Side. May You use this to raise up Godly officers and chaplains to point many to the love of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
