Our Gracious Lord, We come with broken hearts into Your Presence as we lift up the men and women of the Falls County Sheriff's Department who are mourning the tragic loss of Deputy Matt Jones from an on-duty collision. O’ Lord, we know that whenever a co-worker is lost, there is a deep emptiness in the hearts of many that only Your love, grace and mercies can touch and heal. As we know this loss is ever so great to the men and women of the Falls County Sheriff's Department, we also seek Your amazing grace and presence to touch Riesel Police Chief Danny Krumnow also seriously injured in this collision.  May Your grace, peace and mercy touch him as he is being treated at a trauma center.  May You grant the doctor’s wisdom and insight to identify his inquiries and apply the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery.  As the family of Deputy Jones and Chief Krumnow are in deep sorrow, may Your presence, comfort and hands of love and grace touch their hearts and minds and draw them ever so close to Your side.  May they know Your word says, “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” So Lord, we come before Your Awesome Throne of Grace to seek Your mercies and comfort for the men and women of the Falls County Sheriff's Department and Riesel Police Department.  May your presence carry them through this very emotional time. As we know the family of Deputy Jones is hurting ever so greatly, we ask You to pour out Your love, grace, peace, mercy, Presence and everlasting love upon them to carry them through this time of grieving and mourning. May You grant the investigators insight and wisdom to piece together the details of this accident and may it be used to prevent other similar collisions. Lord, as the men and women of the Falls County Sheriff's Department must again begin the task of preparing a final farewell to Deputy Jones, may You use this time of grief as an opportunity to point many to the Cross. May You cause many to examine their hearts and souls and may many be drawn to the love of Your Son where they may know Your word says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” May You raise up Godly officers, Chaplains and others to be a Light to many in need at this emotional time. May you use this tragedy and bring about good where many will come to know Your comfort and receive Your Son as their Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
