Our Gracious Lord, we come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up a California Highway Patrol officer struck by a vehicle. As the news reports he suffered major injuries after being struck by a drunk driver, we come into Your Presence Lord, the Great Physician, and ask for Your mercies and grace to intervene and touch this officer from head to toe. As he is being treated at a trauma center, may You continue to grant the medical staff wisdom to use their skills and training to diagnose and render the correct treatment in order to fully restore Your injured servant to complete health. May Your love, presence, mercy, grace and peace especially settle upon his family who are rallying at his side as we know they are filled with a multitude of emotions, anxiety and concern. May they know right now Your word says, “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.“ May your grace and love especially touch the many other California Highway Patrol Officer, paramedics, firefighters and first responders who were on the scene to render first aid to their injured comrade. May Your presence and peace also sustain them and uplift them with Your grace. Grant the collision investigators wisdom and insight to piece together the details of this collision. We especially lift up every member of the California Highway Patrol and into Your Presence and place them into Your arms of love. May Your amazing grace to carry them through difficult days ahead. And if this injured officer does not know Your love, may You supernaturally speak to his heart and mind and reveal to him Your word as follows, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” May many law enforcement officers be drawn unto Your side Lord as they rally around their injured colleague. O’ Lord, heal this injured officer in any way that will bring Glory to Your Name. May You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to be a tremendous support to any in need. Finally, may many be drawn to the Love of Your Son in whom we can cast all of our cares upon. Comfort many with these words, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, Amen.
