Our Heavenly Father, Our hearts are heavy as we mourn with the men and women Killeen Police Department in the tragic loss of SWAT Officer Robert Hornsby.  Lord, are hearts are especially broken for his wife, son and daughter who are suddenly without a husband and father.  It is Your grace, mercy, peace and comfort we seek Lord to be abundantly poured out upon them as they cope with this sudden and tragic loss.  May your healing touch be upon Officer Obregon and guide the doctor’s hands as they treat his wound.  May your grace and peace also be with his family as they experienced the near loss of their loved one, too.  Lord, we want to especially lift up every officer who was at that scene when the shooting occurred.  May You be their ROCK.  May Your grace may peace be made evident in their hearts, minds and spirits and may they be forever drawn close to Your heart.  Lord, as we know the hearts of many are heavy and burdened with sorrow,  may they know with certainty that even though they have just walked through the valley of the shadow of death, may they know because You are with them and do not have to fear evil as your rod and your staff will comfort them.  May the comfort of the Holy Spirit settle on every emergency worker, first responder, paramedic, doctor and nurse as they, too, were deeply affected from this loss.  Lastly, Lord, may every officer, co-worker, family member and friend come to know how much You love and care for them.  May you send chaplains and other Christians to love and support them and if any do not know that eternal life is found only in Your son, may many have an opportunity to receive Your son to know for certain they have eternal life.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
