Our Father in Heaven, we come boldly into Your Presence to seek Your mercies upon this wounded Pennsylvania State Trooper. We thankful to You Lord, for sparing his life as the news reports indicate he was airlifted to a hospital and is now in stable condition. As we come before Your Throne of Grace, we lift up this wounded trooper into Your Arms of Mercy Grace. As this trooper is being treated at a local trauma center, we ask You to place Your healing hands upon this trooper and ask You to fill the medical staff at this hospital with supernatural wisdom to guide them in identifying his wounds and then apply the correct remedy to bring about a full recovery. May you fill every medical doctor and nurse with Your Holy Spirit. We are so thankful the suspect was neutralized by additional law enforcement personnel.  This Christmas season has been especially difficult on peace officers across America.  Nonetheless, O’ Lord, we are thankful to You that the position of a peace officer is a job created and ordained by You, for Your word says, “The policeman is sent by God to help you.” And Lord, we are so thankful for the thousands upon thousands of law enforcement officers across the U.S. and the world who regularly place themselves in harm’s way to protect their community. As we know the men and women of the Pennsylvania State Police and other allied agencies are deeply concerned for the welfare of their wounded comrade, may Your grace, mercy and comfort uphold them as You carry them through this emotional time. And as the family members of this wounded trooper are at the hospital supporting their loved one, we ask You to wrap Your arms of love around each of them and draw them unto Your side. Hold them ever so tightly, Lord. May Your Holy Spirit touch the heart, mind and body of this wounded trooper and may he sense Your Presence carrying him through this ordeal. And if this wounded trooper does not know the love of your Son in whom there is everlasting life and forgiveness of sin, may You raise up chaplains and other Godly officers to share Your love. May Your Holy Spirit come along side every member of the Pennsylvania State Police as we know they have been deeply emotionally and spiritually affected. O’ Lord, may You raise up Godly troopers and chaplains to be a representative of Your Light to those with hurting hearts. May You continue to pour out Your grace on this wounded trooper and spare his life. May these words bring comfort to many, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”, this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
