Our Father in Heaven, We join with the men and women of the Columbus Police Department in mourning the death of Corporal Slay.  Lord, every officer in America knows the inherent dangers whenever they are behind the wheel driving code-3--yet they are still willing to place the protection of the community at the forefront of their actions.  Lord, W\we want to lift up the family of Corporal Slay who are grieving deeply at this sudden and tragic loss.  We especially was  to lift up Deputy Brad Evans who was seriously injured.  Lord, we know you are the Great Physician and ask you to grant every medical professional treating Deputy Evans with supernatural wisdom and insight to heal him and fully restore him to complete health. Lord, we ask you to wrap your arms around every officer, co-worker, family member and friend who are grieving this tragedy and may they sense Your sweet presence and strength.  Lord, may your grace touch every first responder--firefighter, EMT and paramedic who treated these officers as they, too, were affected from this very emotional situation.  Lord, in the days to come, may Your holy Spirit touch the lives of every officer with the ColumbusPolice Department and with the Metro Narcotics Task Force as they prepare to say farewell to their friend and colleague.  We  know that all things work to Good to those who love the Lord--to those who are called according to Your purpose.  So Lord, we ask you to reveal Your purpose to many officers, co-workers, family members and friends and may many be drawn ever so close to Your side where there is abundant peace and mercies.  For those who do not know you personally, may many be drawn to Your side and may You create a thirst and hunger in their hearts to know you personally.  May many come to receive You into their hearts.  Grant peace to all, this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
