Our Gracious Lord, Once again we are so very thankful that You spared the lives of these two police officers.  Although the news said their injuries were not life threatening, we know both of those officers faced death today and as a result both were injured and a suspect lost his life.  So Lord, we ask for your grace and peace to sweetly settle upon the hearts and minds of these two officers and drawn them close to Your side.  May Your grace especially settle upon the families of these officers who experienced the near loss of their loved ones today.  And as one suspect is on the run, may you cause the suspect to turn himself in or may you grant the investigators wisdom to effectively investigate this attempted murder on Your servants and quickly capture this suspect.  And as a suspect lost his life today, may your grace descend upon his family and sustain them with Your love, grace and mercies.  May your peace, wisdom and comfort sweetly settle upon the men and women of the Boston Police Department and draw them unto Your side.  And Lord, if there are any officers who at one time were wholeheartedly serving you but have fallen away, may You use this as a wake-up call to draw them back to Your love.  May many officers and family members be given an opportunity to know You in a real and personal way.  May they be reminded that You will never leave nor forsake those who’ve received You as their Savior and Lord.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
