Our Father in Heaven, We seek Your continued grace and mercies Lord to be upon Comal County Sheriff’s Deputy Eddy Luna who was shot making a warrant arrest. As the news reports he taken to a hospital and is stable condition after undergoing surgery to his arm, we come with boldness into Your presence to seek Your mercies upon the life of Deputy Luna.  Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention into the life of this peace officer and ask for Your healing touch to be upon him. May your Holy Spirit be upon Deputy Luna and all of the medical professionals. May You give the doctor’s wisdom and insight in order to apply the correct medical treatment in order to restore him to full health. May You grant emotional and spiritual strength to the many other law enforcement officers who have been so deeply challenged in their hearts and spirits at this attempted murder of one of their colleague. May Your presence be made real to every law enforcement officer and co-worker within the entire Comal County Sheriff’s Department. May Your amazing grace especially touch the family members of Deputy Luna who are at the hospital supporting their loved one. Lord, grant peace and comfort in the hearts of the men and women of the Comal County Sheriff’s Department. May You be their Rock, their Fortress, their Comforter, their Strength, their Shield and their Peace. Draw them every so close to Your side in the bonds of love. May You grant the investigators wisdom to gather the facts surrounding this incident and may Your supernatural presence and grace descend upon every deputy involved in that near-death encounter and pour out Your grace on them.  May these deputies and many others know Your word says to “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart.”  May many know Your word says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”  May You use this life-threatening incident to cause many law enforcement officers call to You right now and may You hear the cries of their hearts. Grant healing mercies to Deputy Luna. Most importantly, may Your will be done. May You raise up Godly deputies and chaplains to be a representative of Your Son and may many seek HIM for peace and comfort. Lastly, may You receive Glory at this difficult time, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
