Our Father in Heaven, it is You Lord, that the law enforcement officers across America comes to with boldness and humility to seek Your mercies and grace to descend upon every one of Your peacemakers. O Lord, we are so ever grateful to You for sparing the life of Officer Marshall Waters who was shot during traffic stop of a robbery suspect. As he was shot in the abdomen and is in serious condition, may Your presence be made known to his heart and mind and may You draw him ever so close to Your side. May You continue to fill the medical staff with wisdom and grace to continue to apply the correct treatment and bring about a full recovery. May Your grace and Your Presence also be with the family of Officer Waters who nearly experienced the loss of a loved one and hold them tightly in Your Mighty Arms. May Your grace touch the men and women of the Mangham Police Department and the many other law enforcement officers who were assisted in this incident and may each sense the presence of Your grace and peace in their hearts. May these words bring peace and comfort to those in need, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.“ May Your grace and mercy also touch the many paramedics, doctors, nurses and first responders who were involved in treating Officer Waters. May You give the investigators wisdom and insight to gather all the facts to determine of this crime and are so thankful that the suspect has been arrested. May You use this life-threatening incident to speak to the hearts of every law enforcement officer who was at that scene and cause them to look inwardly at their hearts and souls. If any officer does not know you or if any officer is in a backslidden state, may they hear the sweet voice of Your Holy Spirit calling them that now is the day of salvation. May every law enforcement officer know Your Word says, “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.” May You raise up chaplains and other Godly law enforcement officers to be a light to each of them and point them to the love of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life. May Your love reign supreme in their hearts, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
