Our Merciful Lord, we come with deep hearts of gratitude to thank You, Lord, for sparing the lives of these two police officers shot while seated in their vehicle.  We, therefore, come before Your Throne of Grace and Mercy to lift these two officers into Your Healing Arms.  As the news reports several rounds were fired wounding both officers, we ask You to provide the medical doctors treating them with wisdom from on High.  May they accurately assess their wounds and apply the appropriate treatment to bring about a full recovery.  O’ Lord, thank You for sparing the lives of Your two servants.  As these wounded peacemakers are in the hospital, may Your Holy Spirit gently settle on their heart and soul and reveal to them how much You love him.  May Your mercies, grace and comfort touch both officers and draw them ever so close to Your Side.  As the families of both officers are at the sides of Your wounded servants, may You pour out an unending measure of Your love, grace, peace, mercy, comfort and most of all Your sweet presence to carry them through this very difficult time.  May Your words as follows speak deeply in the hearts of those in need, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  As the news reports the suspect was dead, may You grant the investigators with supernatural wisdom and insight to gather the facts surrounding this deadly encounter.  We especially lift up the men and women of the entire Baltimore law enforcement community as we know this has deeply affected them. May Your Holy Spirit touch every heart and draw them ever so close to Your Side to be comforted by Your Presence.  May Your amazing grace become real in the hearts of those in need.   Continue to touch and heal your wounded peacemakers and restore them to full health.  May Your words continue to bring comfort to many as follows: “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”  In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
