Our Father in Heaven, we come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to lift up a Buena Park Motorcycle officer into Your presence after he was intentionally struck by a vehicle. O’ Lord, as reported in the news, this motorcycle officers’ injuries are not life-threatening, we are so thankful that it was by Your mercies and grace that You spared his life. We are also so thankful that he was quickly treated and taken to a trauma center and ask You to continue to grant the medical professionals’ wisdom to be able to render the correct treatment and care and so that he may be fully restored. May Your mercies extend to the many other officers, paramedics, firefighters and citizens who rendered aid to this injured officer. May Your peace and comfort especially settle upon the family of this injured officer as they are at his side supporting and loving him through this very emotional time. May You grant the investigators wisdom as they investigate this collision and to locate and arrest the suspect who escaped. Lord, in the coming days, may You raise up Godly officers, friends or chaplains to continue to minister Your love to the many other Buena Park police officers, friends and family members so deeply affected by this near tragedy. May this incident draw many ever so close to Your side where there is amazing grace and peace. May Your word dwell richly in the hearts of so many as follows, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction…” And if this injured officer, or any other officer or family member does not know Your forgiveness and love, may You use this life-threatening situation to draw many close to Your side where there is never ending love and peace. On this Thanksgiving week-end, May many come to receive Your Son into their hearts, for Your Word says, “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”   May your mercy and grace especially touch the men and women of the Buena Park Police and others who were so close to their injured co-worker, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
