Our King of Kings, it is with a sense of urgency that we come boldly into Your Presence to seek your supernatural touch upon a two wounded Bakersfield Police Officers.  As the news reports one is in critical but stable condition, we ask You to provide the medical doctors treating him right now with wisdom from on High.  May they accurately assess his wounds and apply the appropriate treatment to spare his life.  O’ Lord, thank You for sparing the lives of Your two servants.  As this wounded peacemaker is likely sedated in the hospital, may Your Holy Spirit gently settle on his heart and soul and reveal to him how much You love him especially this Christmas season.  May Your mercies, grace and comfort touch the other officer who was wounded and draw this officer ever so close to Your Side.  As the family of this critically wounded officer is at the side of Your wounded servant, may You pour out an unending measure of Your love, grace, peace, mercy, comfort and most of all Your sweet presence to carry them through this very difficult time.  O’ God, touch every family members heart and soul with Your grace.  May Your words as follows speak deeply in the hearts of those in need, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  As the news reports the suspect was shot and died, may You grant the investigators with supernatural wisdom and insight to gather the facts surrounding this deadly encounter.  We especially lift up the men and women of the entire Bakersfield Police Department as we know this has deeply affected them. May Your Holy Spirit touch every officer’s heart and draw them ever so close to Your Side to be comforted by Your Presence.  And as we know this incident has greatly affected the other wounded officer, may He be comforted by a special touch of Your Hand upon his heart, soul and mind right now.   Continue to touch and heal your critically wounded peacemaker and restore him to full health.  May Your words continue to bring comfort to many as follows: “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”  Finally, may Your words touch many hearts ever so deeply as follows, “ Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe.”  Hear our hearts O’ God, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
