Lord Jesus, we, again, come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to lift up a wounded Lufkin Police Officer Gerardo Salinas into Your Healing Arms.  As the news reports he survived after being stabbed in the side, we ask You to give the treating doctors grace and wisdom as they diagnose and treat his wounds to bring about a full recovery.  May You provide Officer Salinas with the best care in order to restore him to full health. Lord, we ask You to pour out Your grace upon every member of the Lufkin Police Department as they rally around their wounded comrade.  Lord, may You be a Rock, Fortress and Deliverer to not only Your wounded peacemaker, but to every law enforcement officer who responded to this incident.  May You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to gather the facts surrounding this incident and we are so thankful the suspect is in custody.  As we know this wounded officer’s family is at his side supporting and loving him, may You pour out Your mercy, love, grace, peace and comfort upon their hearts and souls and carry them through this time of uncertainty.  And as Officer Salinas is being treated, may Your Holy Spirit speak to his heart and soul right now that Your word says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”  May the comfort of Your Holy Spirit be ever so real to your wounded servant, his/her family and the many co-workers with the Lufkin Police Department.  Continue to give the investigators wisdom to gather the facts surrounding this attack.  May Your Word as follow, Lord, dwell richly the hearts of so many who are feeling distressed, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”   May You use this near-death experience to draw many Lufkin and allied peace officers unto the love and salvation found only in Your Son.  O’ God, touch Your wounded servant and bring about a full healing, in the name of Jesus Christ, our King of Kings and Lord of Lords we pray, Amen.
