Our Father in Heaven, we come into Your Presence in great earnest to lift up the lives of two wounded peace officers. We want to lift up a critically wounded of a Decatur County Sheriff’s Deputy and a Seminole County Sheriff’s deputy. As the news reports indicate the Decatur County deputy was in critical condition at a local hospital after undergoing surgery, we ask for Your Healing touch to continue to be upon him and to grant the medical doctor’s wisdom and insight in order to provide for a full and complete recovery. O’ God spare this life! May Your grace additionally touch the Seminole County Sheriff’s deputy who was shot in an arm. May You raise up the correct medical specialists to identify his injuries and restore him to full health. Most importantly, Lord, we ask for Your amazing grace to settle upon the hearts and minds of each of these wounded/injured deputies and the large contingent of law enforcement officers who were involved. As they must deal with the emotional reality of this life-threatening event of two wounded colleagues, may Your grace and your presence especially touch these wounded peace officers’ hearts and minds as they faced this near-death encounter. May Your Presence, mercy and grace be with the members of the Decatur County Sheriff, Seminole County Sheriff’s departments and many officers from other allied agencies as we know it can affect other co-workers as well. May Your peace that passes all understanding especially touch the family of these wounded peace officers as they rally around their loved one after this near-death experience. Lord, may You use this near tragedy to draw the members of the many law enforcement agencies unto Your side where many can intimately experience the joy provided by Your Son. And if these wounded deputies or any other co-workers or family members do not know Your love and forgiveness, may Your Holy Spirit cause many to examine their hearts and draw them to the Love of Your Son. Lord, we ask You to provide the investigators with wisdom and insight as they investigate this attempted murder on your servants in which one suspect has been arrested. As a manhunt is underway for a second suspect, may You protect every peace officer involved in the search. May You prevent the suspect from harming any more law enforcement officers. May Your mercies and Your Presence continue to protect all law enforcement officers from all harm and danger every day. Most importantly Lord, as a result of this near-death encounter, may You draw many deputies, officers and family members to Your side and may many come to receive You as their Savior and Lord. May Your word as follows bring comfort to many, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.“ May Your mercies and peace rest upon the many other peace officers, first responders and medical personnel who aided in saving the life of these wounded warriors. Spare the lives of these wounded peace officers, this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
