Praying for a wounded Southaven (MI) Police Officer and two wounded Irish (GARDA) Police Service Detectives

Our Gracious Father, we come boldly into Your presence to bring these wounded peace officers before Your Throne of grace and mercy. We are so very thankful that You spared the lives of a Southaven Police Officer and two Police Service Detectives from Ireland as they are both being treated at local hospitals. As their wounds are not life-threatening, we ask You to guide the doctors and grant them wisdom and grace to diagnose and treat their wounds and bring about a full recovery. May Your grace, mercy and especially Your peace that passes all understanding gently settle upon the hearts and minds of these law enforcement officers in two countries and draw them ever so close to Your side. May they sense Your presence comforting them as they are likely sedated. May Your grace also touch the many other law enforcement officers who were at both scenes in which a suspect was successfully arrested in each incident. As we know there were also multiple first responders and paramedics who responded to aid these injured officers, we ask for Your grace to touch their hearts and minds as we know they experienced the same emotional trauma as the officers. May Your mercy and peace especially touch the families of these law enforcement officers and uphold them with Your arms of love. Grant them unexplainable peace through this very difficult time. May You grant the investigators wisdom to piece together the facts and details of these attempted murders of Your peacemakers. In the coming days as many officers involved reflect on both near-death experiences, may they focus on You, the Author of Life, and may they be drawn to the love of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life. May You provide them Your peace that passes all understanding. May these following words come alive in the hearts of many, “O’ God, [As] the cords of death entangled me, [a law enforcement officer], the anguish of the grave came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the LORD: “O LORD, save me!”, in Jesus name, Amen. Ps 116: 3-4”. O’ Lord, may You use these attempted murders of these three peace officers to remove the scales from the eyes and hearts of many other law enforcement officers. If any do no know You, may they know Your word says, “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” May many come to intimately know that You will always be their Rock, Fortress and Deliverer, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
