Praying for critically wounded Nassau County (FL) Sheriff’s Deputy Joshua Moyers

Our God of Mercy and Grace, we join with the men and women of Nassau County Sheriff’s Department as they are rallying around Deputy Joshua Moyers who was critically wounded. We, therefore, come boldly and in great earnest before Your Throne of Grace and place him into Your healing arms. O’ God, because Your Word says You are Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace, it is with confidence what we come into Your presence to seek Your healing power to continue to descend upon Deputy Moyers in the hospital in which he has already undergone surgery. O’ Lord, we know You are the Author of Life. We thank You that You are merciful, wise, omniscient, faithful, holy and good and for those reasons, we seek Your amazing grace and the touch of the Master’s Hand to be upon him from head to foot. May You reach inside his entire physical body and begin the healing process according to Your Riches and Glory in Christ Jesus. O’ God, we plead that You would spare his life. May Deputy Moyers, the entire Nassau County Sheriff’s Department and his family know Your word says, “My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.” Lord, we know and trust that Deputy Moyers is in Your hands. You know all things and You know we earnestly come before Your Throne of Grace to seek Your mercy and grace at this time of need. And if Deputy Moyers does not know Your love and forgiveness, we ask You to use chaplains, Godly officers and others to share Your love with him and allow him to receive You has his personal Savior and Lord. As a manhunt is underway for this suspect, may You grant the investigators wisdom to use every investigative tool to quickly locate the suspect. May You raise up witnesses to report the location of this suspect. And if he tries to use his weapon on any other peacemakers, may You cause his weapon to malfunction. May You further cause the suspect to be unable to rest or have any peace until he surrenders or is caught. May You cause the suspect to be confused and guilt-ridden. Finally, may any officer and any other who’ve been emotionally and/or spiritually challenged from this attack on one of their co-workers know Your word says, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” May they do as King David, who said, “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” So Lord, may Your mercy, grace, love and comfort settle upon Deputy Moyers family, co-workers and friends as they rally around him. May Your peace that passes all understanding be made real in everyone’s hearts and especially to the many law enforcement officers and first responders involved in this incident. May You use this near tragedy to draw all men unto Your Son in whom there is forgiveness of sins and everlasting life, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
