Our Gracious Lord, We are once again so grateful for your mercies in sparing the  life of this Miami-Dade Police Officer.  May you continue to grant the medical staff wisdom to effectively treat his stab wounds and restore him to complete health.  May your grace and mercies especially be upon his mind and spirit as we know facing a life and death situation can be emotionally, mentally and spiritually challenging.   May your grace, comfort, and peace gently descend upon the many Miami-Dade Police officers who are rallying in support of this wounded officer and grant them mercies in the midst of this near tragedy.  May You reveal Your presence to this injured officer where he may personally experience your peace that passes all understanding.  May your mercies also be with the family of the slain suspect and minister to their hearts with your abundant grace.  May your unfailing love especially touch the family members of this injured officer and uplift them with Your arms of love and grace as they are at his side.  May they, too, sense Your sweet presence even in the midst of this near tragedy.  Nonetheless Lord, we know that all things work together for good and therefore ask that many officers and family members may be drawn to your side.  May you use chaplains and other Christian officers as instruments of Your love.  May many be given an opportunity to know that eternal salvation is found in You alone.  Continue to protect all of your protectors who are Your servants of righteousness—this we ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
