Our Gracious Lord, We come with heavy hearts as we join with the men and women of the Pontiac Police Department in grieving this sudden and tragic loss of Officer Casey Kohlmeier and his K-9 partner, Draco.  Lord, this is such a great loss to the department and community and ask for Your grace and mercies to be abundantly poured out upon them.  May Your mercies and sustaining grace especially touch Ofc. Kohlmeier’s family and uphold them with Your everlasting arms of Love.  May You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to effectively investigate the cause of this collision and provide answers as to how the accident occurred.  May Your peace especially touch the many friends and colleagues who are in deep mourning and comfort them with Your arms of love.  In the midst of this sudden loss, may many be drawn to Your side where there is an endless supply of mercy, peace and grace.  And as the Pontiac Police Department must now prepare to say farewell to two of their department members, may their memorial service be used to draw many to Your side and to intimately know the everlasting love found only in Your son.  May Your name be lifted high and may many be drawn to Christ in whom there is eternal life. May your grace and unfailing love comfort those co-workers who are mourning greatly. May you use this tragedy to forever strengthen the men and women of the Pontiac Police Department and draw them ever so close to each other.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
