Our Father in Heaven, We lift up Officers Roberto Aguilar and Yvette Meade before You Lord as they are both recovering from wounds and injuries sustained during a fight with a mentally disturbed man.  We are so grateful that he was unable to fully get control of the officer’s gun and take the lives of both officers.  Lord, in life-threatening incidents like these, we know both officers are suffering not only their physical injuries, but also the emotional toll on their minds and spirits.  And so Lord, we ask for Your love, grace and mercies to surround both Officer Roberto Aguilar and Yvette Meade and hold them tightly in Your arms.  May you grant the medical staff wisdom to effectively treat their injuries and may both officers  make a full recovery.   May Your peace and grace also settle upon the families of both officers and may they sense Your sweet presence to carry them through this emotional time.  May Your grace especially touch the hearts and minds of Officers Aguilar and Meade and prevent them from enduring the negative effects of any short-term or long-term emotional trauma that incidents like this can cause.  May the comfort of Your Holy Spirit sweetly settle upon their heart, mind and spirit and draw them ever so close to Your side where there is everlasting comfort and peace.  And if any of these officers or their co-workers are in spiritual darkness, may the Light of Your Son bring everlasting peace into their lives.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
