Our Father in Heaven, we come boldly into Your Presence to seek Your healing mercies upon this wounded Yavapai-Apache Nation Police Officer. We thankful to You Lord, for sparing this officers life as the news reports indicate he/she is in critical condition and has likely already undergone surgery. As we come before Your Throne of Grace, we lift up this wounded officer into Your Arms of Grace. As this officer is being treated at a local trauma center, we ask You to place Your healing hands upon this officer and grant the medical staff at this hospital with supernatural wisdom to guide them in identifying his/her wound(s) and then apply the correct remedy to bring about a full recovery. May you fill every medical doctor and nurse with Your Holy Spirit. As we know the many men and women of the Yavapai-Apache Nation Police Department are deeply concerned for the welfare of their wounded comrade, may Your grace, mercy and comfort uphold them as You carry them through this emotional time. And as the family members of this wounded officer are at the hospital supporting their loved one, we ask You to wrap Your arms of love around each of them and draw them unto Your side. Hold them ever so tightly, Lord. May Your Holy Spirit touch the heart, mind and body and this wounded officer and may he sense Your Presence carrying him through this ordeal. And if this wounded officer does not know the love of your Son in whom there is everlasting life and forgiveness of sin, may You raise up chaplains and other Godly officers to share Your love. May Your Holy Spirit come along side every member of the Yavapai-Apache Nation Police Department as we know they have been deeply emotionally and spiritually affected. As the suspect is on the loose, grant the investigators wisdom to locate and arrest the suspect. And if the suspect tries to attack any other peace officers, may You cause his weapon to misfire or jamb. May You raise up witnesses to spot the suspect and may he have no peace or rest until he has been caught. So, Lord, may You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to be a representative of Your Light to those with hurting hearts. May Your amazing grace uphold the many families who’ve been affected so deeply. May You continue to pour out Your grace on this wounded officer and spare his/her life. May these words bring comfort to many in need of Your touch and grace, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Finally may Your word as follow encourage those in need, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
