Our Father of mercy, we come before Your Throne of Grace to lift the men and women of the Arkansas State Police as they cope in this tragic loss of Trooper Clark Kent Simpson. O’ God, as the emotional pain is ever so great, we come boldly and humbly into Your Presence to lift up the many friends and co-workers as they are mourning and grieving ever so greatly at this tragic loss. May You, Lord, place Your arms of love upon their shoulders and may they intimately sense Your great comfort carrying them through this time of loss. And as the family of Trooper Simpson is also in deep mourning, may You surround them with Your love, grace, peace, mercy, comfort and most of all Your Presence to carry them through this tragic loss of their loved one. Continue to grant the investigators wisdom and insight to gather the facts from this collision. May these words bring amazing comfort and peace to those in need of a touch from the Master’s Hand, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” And, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds..” So Lord, as the Arkansas State Police must begin the task to prepare for a farewell service for their fallen comrade, grant them amazing grace to carry out this task. May You raise up Godly troopers and chaplains to be a light to those in need. And during farewell this service, may the name of Your Son be magnified, and may many be drawn unto Him and receive him as Savior and Lord. May this memorial service be a beacon of hope and may many receive Your Son into their heart to be their Savior and Lord, this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, Amen.
