Our Gracious Lord, “Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”  That, Lord, is our cry and plea for the men and women of the Glasgow Police Department.  Lord, no matter where law enforcement officers are in the world, our hearts and prayers reach out to our brothers and sisters who are in great need right now as there are so many uncertainties with this crash into a pub.  So Lord, it is only to You we can turn to seek you unending mercies and grace for so many people affected by this helicopter crash.  May you grant the many rescue workers supernatural strength and insight to rescue and save so many people trapped and injured.  May your hands of mercy be with the police officers who were on the helicopter and save them.  May You be their Rock, their Shield and their Fortress.  May Your Holy Spirit touch the lives of so many who are in shock from this incident and guard their hearts and minds.  May You keep them in the Shadow of Your Wings.  May Your grace touch the hundreds of emergency workers right now and grant them wisdom, grace, confidence, insight, peace and patience as they continue to rescue those injured.  And if there should be any loss of life, may Your grace and peace be ever present.  May You send chaplains and other Godly men and women to reach out as an extension of Your love.  May this tragedy be used to draw many close to Your side.  May many have an opportunity to know Your Love and receive Your Son as their Savior and Lord.  May your mercies extend to the many family members of the law enforcement officers, fire fighters, paramedics and other emergency workers at the scene and uphold them with Your strong arms of love.  May you Lord, allow these workers to save many lives.
