Our Father in Heaven, Our hearts are so very grateful to You for saving the life of this Boston Police officer.  We are so thankful that the gunshot wound to his arm was not life threatening.  May You continue to grant the doctors and all of the other medical staff wisdom to properly treat this wound and restore the officer to full health.  May your grace and mercies touch the other officer who was taken to the hospital to be treated for stress.  Lord, we intimately know how emotionally challenging these life-threatening events can be upon not just these two officers, but their co-workers and families as well.  Lord, we ask for Your special touch to be upon both officers and sustain them with Your love.  Lord, we know that events like this can affect not only the Boston Police Department but many surrounding law enforcement agencies as well.  We therefore come before Your Throne of Grace to ask for Your protection to be upon every law enforcement officer in Massachusetts and across the entire United States especially during this Christmas season.    May You grant every law enforcement officer wisdom beyond their years and insight in order to be prepared no matter where they go or whatever they may do.  Protect them as they travel, as they sit, as they walk.  May Your angelic hosts be with them and keep them safe from all harm, danger and evil.  May you protect them from anyone who might be planning to harm them or prevent anyone who might spontaneously try to harm an officer.  May this season be completely injury free.  May Your grace and mercies allow every law enforcement officer across the continental U.S. to go home safely every night.  And may Your Holy Spirit draw many officers and family members unto Your side so they may see their need for eternal life found only in Your son.  May Your name forever be lifted high.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
