Praying for wounded Marion County (Oregon) Deputy Sheriff Jim Buchholz
Our Loving father, Unto You Lord, may You receive all the Glory, Honor and Praise in sparing the life of Deputy Jim Buchholz who was shot today. We are thankful the suspect was taken into custody and that no other peacemakers were injured. Lord, we are so thankful that Deputy Buchholz maintained his composure under this great strain as a tenured law enforcement professional. May Your grace, mercy and peace gently settle upon his mind and spirit as he and his family reflect on this near death experience. Lord, we are thankful for the many men and women across the U.S. who have chosen to be peacemakers and ask Your continued blessings upon everyone while they protect and serve their community/jurisdiction. Lord, may your mercies be abundant to the many law enforcement agencies who were involved in this life threatening incident today. As we know stress can cause short-term and long term emotional issues, may Your unending peace and comfort settle upon every officer and deputy and sustain them with your Amazing Grace. May you grant the medical doctors wisdom and insight to effectively treat the deputy’s wounds and bring him to full and complete recovery. May our Lord Jesus himself who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage the hearts of every law enforcement involved in this incident in every good deed and word. May You grant the investigators from the Salem Police Department wisdom and insight to effectively investigate every detail of this difficult investigation. May Justice prevail and may many law enforcement officers be drawn close to your side to know how much You love every peace officer. May many have an opportunity to receive You into their hearts as their personal Savior and Lord. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
