O’ Lord, we are so grateful for Your wonderful mercies to have been upon this wounded officer and his partner who were ambushed while seated in their police unit. We are so thankful that Your amazing grace shed on these officers for sparing their lives and allowing them to go home to their families. As the news reports one officer was shot in head and has been released from the hospital, may You continue to grant the doctor’s wisdom and insight to treat his wound. We, therefore, lift up this officer before Your Throne of Grace and ask You to wrap Your loving arms around him as he recovers from this near-death experience. May Your peace that passes all understanding sustain this officer and his partner and may they be drawn ever close to Your side for the continuing comfort of Your Holy Spirit. May Your mercy, grace, love and everlasting comfort also settle upon the family of these officers and may Your grace additionally touch every member of the Sachse Police Department as they rally around to support their wounded comrade and his family. As the suspect was shot and wounded by one of these officers, may You use this life threatening incident as a reminder and training aid to law enforcement officers across America and the world to forever be vigilant in everything they do and may they never become complaisant. Thank You, Lord, that the training of these officers was remembered and utilized. Lastly Lord, may every Sachse officer know that You ordained their job as a peacemaker to protect and serve their community wherever they may be. Lord, as every Sachse Police officer and officers around the worId continue to protect and serve today, may they come to intimately know You are Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of peace, the Bread of Life, Living Water, King of kings and Lord of lords. And through this near-death encounter, may many law enforcement officers come to recognize their need to draw near to You for You will then draw near to them. May many come to receive Your forgiveness and receive Your Son as their Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
