Our Father in Heaven, Our hearts are heavy and souls dreary as we mourn with the men and women of the Tupelo Police Department in this heinous murder of one of Your servants of righteousness.  Father, we earnestly seek Your face and Your grace in our time of need.  May Your abundant mercies sweetly touch the hearts and minds of the entire Tupelo Police Department and their families who are all grieving greatly.  May Your healing touch continue to be upon this wounded officer and restore him to complete health.  Lord, we ask You to grant the investigators supernatural wisdom and insight to quickly and effectively locate and safely apprehend the suspects who were responsible for taking the life of a Tupelo peacemaker.  May You encamp Your angels around every investigator and law enforcement officer involved in that investigation.  May You cause the suspects to be confused at every step they make.  May You raise up concerned citizens and others who may know these suspects and may they surrender.  And should another violent confrontation occur, we ask You Lord, to supernaturally protect every one of Your servants of righteousness who are constantly seeking to protect the citizens of their community.  Wherever the investigators tread, may You make the darkness light and the rough ground smooth.  And at this difficult time, we cast all our cares upon You Lord, for we know You intimately care for us.  Bless every law enforcement officer in Tupelo and beyond.  May Your Holy Spirit convict the hearts of the suspects and cause them to be miserable until they are apprehended.  We pray for the salvation of many law enforcement officers because of what Your Son has done.  We even pray for the salvation of these suspects, too.  May You provide a peace that passes all understanding throughout the Tupelo Police Department.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
