Our precious Lord, we come boldly before Your Throne of grace and into Your Presence to earnestly lift up a Scott County Sheriff’s Deputy who was wounded in the line of duty. As we do not know the deputy’s conditions who is being treated at a local hospital, we ask you Lord, to grant your continued healing power to be upon this deputy and give the doctors wisdom to be able to effectively treat the injuries and render the correct treatment to completely restore this deputy to full health. May your grace, peace and comfort be with the entire Scott County Sheriff’s Department. May Your mercy and grace also touch the paramedics, first responders and emergency medical personnel who treated and are still treating the deputy. May you touch the minds and hearts of Your wounded servant-peacemaker and spare the life of this deputy. May You grant the investigators skillful and supernatural wisdom to gather the facts surround this attack upon Your servants. As the suspect is on the loose and a manhunt is underway, may You protect every law enforcement officer at the scene from all harm and danger. May You cause the suspect to surrender. May You raise up witnesses to spot the suspect and report his location. And if he does not, may You cause his weapon to malfunction. May You also cause him to be guilt-ridden and remorseful and surrender. We especially want to lift up the families and/or spouses of this injured deputy and ask that your love, mercy, grace, peace and strength sustain them through this difficult time. May the comfort of your Holy Spirit be upon the entire Scott County Sheriff’s Department and their families and may you bring comfort and peace to all as You carry them through this storm. May Your words as follows forever encourage many hearts, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” May the name of Jesus be glorified throughout the entire Scott County Sheriff’s Department and may many come to personally know the love of Jesus. And if this wounded deputy does not know You, may You speak to his/her hearts and allow them to receive Your love. May many know they can always place their hope in You as You will always be at their side for Your Word says that You will never leave us nor forsake us. May those in anguish know Your word says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.“ O’ Lord, spare the life of Your deputy, this we ask in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
