Our Father in Heaven, Our Hearts are heavy as we mourn with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and entire law enforcement community in this tragic loss of their dear friend and co-worker, Deputy Jonathan Pine.  May Your compassion, peace and grace touch their hearts and sustain them with Your loving mercy.  Lord, we especially come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up Deputy Pine’s wife and three young children who must now cope without a husband and father.  May You grant Deputy Pine’s wife supernatural strength to be there for her children at this most difficult time.  Touch the hearts of these three children and may Your unending love and peace be made known in their hearts even at a young age.  We ask that You will use this tragedy to draw many law enforcement officers ever so close to each other in the bonds of brotherly love.  May Your peace touch those who are grieving ever so deeply.  And as the department prepares their final farewell, may You raise up fearless men and women who can tell of Your Awesome love.  May many be given a thirst in their hearts for You and many be given an opportunity to receive You as their Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
