Our Merciful Lord, this week continues to be tough for law enforcement officers across America as they operate emergency vehicles and as they are protecting and serving their communities. We, therefore, again come before Your Throne of grace to lift up the Jasper Police Dept. in the on-duty fatality of Chief Anthony Rickerson from an on-duty collision. We also want to come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up a wounded New York State Trooper Richard Albert into Your healing arms. As he has been treated and released from a hospital, we ask You to continue to grant the doctors with supernatural and natural wisdom to effectively diagnose this officer’s injuries and apply the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery. May Your love, grace, mercy, comfort, love, peace and presence touch the family of this injured trooper and sustain them with Your amazing grace. As the family of Trooper Richard Albert and Chief Anthony Rickerson have been affected both emotionally and spiritually may Your word comfort them as follows, “Be still and know that I am God.” And if this Trooper Albert does not know You personally, may You raise of Godly officers or chaplains to share the love of Your Son with him. And Lord, we want to lift up the men and women of the Jasper Police Dept. as they endure this tragic loss of Chief Rickerson. O’ Lord, as we know the pain is once again ever so great to them, may Your grace and mercies touch those who have been so deeply affected. May Your mercy, comfort, love, peace and presence touch the family of Chief Rickerson and sustain them with Your amazing grace. As the members of the Jasper Police Dept. are in shock and mourning ever so greatly at this loss, may Your Holy Spirit speak to their hearts to know Your word as follows says to, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.“ O’ God, May Your peace that passes all understanding sustain those in need. Grant the investigators in New York and Florida with wisdom and insight to piece together the facts surrounding these incidents. So, Lord, we come boldly before Your Throne of grace to lift all who are deeply grieving and mourning into Your Arms of Love. As the men and women of the Jasper Police Dept. will begin to make preparations for a final farewell service for Chief Rickerson, may You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to bring hope and grace at this difficult time. And in the weeks to come may many be drawn unto the love of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life and peace. May many receive You, Jesus, as their savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
