Our Gracious Lord,  The men and women of the California Highway Patrol are in deep mourning at the tragic and untimely loss of Officers Brian Law and Juan Gonzalez.  Lord, we know the pain they are experiencing is so very great and it is Your comfort that we seek to carry them through this extremely emotional time.  And Lord, we especially lift up the families of Officers Law and Gonzalez who are grieving ever so great in the loss of these two fine officers.  May Your arms of love, grace, mercy, comfort and peace wrap tightly around the entire California Highway Patrol and especially the family members.  May they know that as they pass through this very dark valley, that You will be with them at every step.  May they know they can always cast their cares on You because You intimately care for them.  Lord, we especially lift up the office where these officers were assigned and ask for an extra portion of Your Grace to touch the officers, supervisors, staff members and clerical.  May You grant the traffic collision investigators wisdom to effectively reconstruct the collision to learn how it occurred.  May this be used as a training tool to save the lives of many more officers.  And as the department and family members must now prepare to say their final farewell to these officers, may Your Holy Spirit prepare the hearts of many officers, co-workers, family and friends to be comforted by Your word.  May many be given an opportunity to receive Your son as their Savior and Lord.  May Your name be glorified, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
