Our Merciful Lord, we come before Your Throne of Grace to thank You, O’ Lord, for sparing the lives of three law enforcement officers with the Minneapolis Police Department, the Tulsa Police Department and the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department. It is truly unto YOU Lord we offer thanksgiving for sparing the lives of these three peacemakers in different states. We are also so thankful the suspects in each attack were stopped by the intervention of other law enforcement officers. Most importantly Lord, as each peace officer is being treated, may your healing touch continue to be upon them and restore them to full health. May You continue to grant the medical professional’s wisdom to continue to render any treatment to them as needed and bring about a full recovery. We also want to lift up the families of these three peacemakers into Your Presence and ask that You would pour out Your love, grace, peace, mercy and comfort upon their hearts and minds as they replay this near-death encounter over and over in their minds. We also want to lift up the other officers who were present as they, too, endured emotional trauma from these near-death encounters. May these peace officers intimately sense the presence of Your Holy Spirit upon their lives as they re-live this trauma over in their minds. May You grant the investigators supernatural wisdom and insight to gather the facts in each of these incidents. Finally, Lord, may your Holy Spirit settle upon the hearts and minds of every member of the Minneapolis Police Department, the Tulsa Police Department and the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department as they cope with these near-death encounters on their co-workers. May your grace preserve them emotionally and spiritually and keep them from enduring any future emotional trauma that can result from these highly stressful incidents. May the love of Jesus Christ be revealed to every peacemaker, co-worker and family member. May they know Your word says, “be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” And that Jesus said, “Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.” May they know, that although they may have just walked through the valley of the shadow of death, You will forever be with them—for we know You will never leave us nor forsake us. May many law enforcement officers have an opportunity to know Your amazing grace and forgiveness, and may many receive You into their hearts as their Savior and Lord, this we ask in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
