Our Merciful Father, we thank You, Lord, for sparing the lives of these six law enforcement officers across America who were wounded/injured in the line of duty. We therefore come with boldness and thanksgiving before Your Throne of Grace to seek Your mercy and comfort upon a seriously injured Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy, two seriously wounded San Antonio Police Officers and three wounded/injured Washington D.C. Police Officers. As they are each being treated and recovering from their wounds and injuries, may You continue to place the correct medical specialists in their paths to provide them with the best medical treatment in order to bring about a full recovery. May each of these peace officers be drawn unto Your Side by Your Holy Spirit where they can know Your grace and peace that passes all understanding. May each peace officer deeply and intimately sense the love of Jesus carrying them through their life-threatening ordeals. May You grant the investigators wisdom as they piece together these crimes against Your peacemakers as we know some officers had to use deadly force in which one suspect died. May Your peace, comfort, presence and amazing grace settle upon the men and women of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the San Antonio Police Department, and the Washington D.C. Police Department as we know they have been obviously emotionally and spiritually challenged at this attack on their co-workers. May Your grace and protecting hand extend to each department and protect them from anyone else who might try to harm them. May every peace officer know Your word says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Most importantly, we ask for Your mercy, grace, comfort and peace to settle upon the families of these peace officers and draw them ever so close into Your Side as they cope with the near loss of their loved ones. May You use this incident to continue to awaken the citizens across America that an attack on any peacemakers is an attack on You, Lord. As a result, may You cause many more prayer warriors to arise to pray for Your servant-peacemakers. May You continue to touch the hearts of many peace officers and may Your Holy Spirit draw them close to Your side for mercy and grace. May every officer know Your word says, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” As these incident have affected countless members of the community and many law enforcement families, may your word offer many strength and comfort as follow, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” May every peace officer in California, Texas and Washington D.C. be drawn unto the love of Your Son and may those who need Your Touch be drawn to Your Son Jesus, in whom there is everlasting life and forgiveness of sins, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
