Our Loving Father, Every day we see law enforcement officers across the country place themselves in harms way to protect the citizens of their community.  Today, we come unto Your Throne of Grace to lift up a seriously injured Colorado State Trooper who was struck by a suspect vehicle trying to lay down a spike strip.  Lord, at this point we know he suffered serious injuries and is being treated.   We ask that You would send the right doctor and medical staff to know how to properly diagnose all of his/her injuries and render the appropriate treatment to secure a full recovery.  May Your grace, love, peace and mercy settle upon the heart and mind of this injured trooper and may he/she be reassured that You are in control.  Sustain this trooper with Your Arms of loving comfort.  May Your mercies also extend to the troopers family and co-workers who are obviously rallying around to support the trooper at this very emotional time.   May Your grace and peace touch every law enforcement officer who was involved in this very long and dangerous pursuit.  May You use this as a time to draw many law enforcement officers close to Your side.  And if this injured trooper or any other law enforcement officer does not personally know Your love and grace, may Your Holy Spirit settle upon their hearts and may they be drawn unto Your Son where there is unending love.   May Your mercies touch the suspect in this chase and may he come to also receive You as Savior and Lord.  In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
