Our precious Lord, we come boldly before Your Throne of grace as we come into Your Presence to earnestly lift up these wounded law enforcement officers with the U.S. Marshals and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. As we do not know their conditions in which they have all be transported to hospitals, we ask you Lord, to grant your continued healing power to be upon them and give the doctors wisdom to be able to effectively treat their injuries and render the correct treatment to completely restore them to full health. O’ God, spare their lives we pray. May your grace, peace and comfort be with the entire contingent of law enforcement officers and especially the co-workers, paramedics, first responders and emergency medical personnel who treated these peace officers. May you touch the minds and hearts of Your wounded servant-peacemakers and again Lord, spare their lives. As the scene is still fluid and it is not known if a suspect is still active, it is likely multiple rounds were fired by the suspect and possibly the officers. So Lord, may You grant the investigators skillful and supernatural wisdom to gather the facts surrounding this attack upon Your servants. If the suspect is still being sought, may he be quickly captured. We especially want to lift up the families and/or spouses of these injured peace officers and ask that your love, mercy, grace, peace and strength sustain them through this difficult time. May the comfort of your Holy Spirit be upon the entire U.S. Marshals and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and their families and may you bring comfort and peace to all as You carry them through this storm. May Your words as follows forever encourage many hearts, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” May the name of Jesus be glorified throughout the entire law enforcement community and may many come to personally know the love of Jesus. And if any peace officer does not know You, may You speak to their hearts and allow them to receive Your love. May many know they can always place their hope in You as You will always be at their side for Your Word says that You will never leave us nor forsake us. May those in anguish know Your word says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.“ O’ Lord, spare the lives of these peace officers, this we ask in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
