Our Father in Heaven, we come into Your presence Lord with broken hearts as we mourn this tragic loss of Officer Russell Croxton from this on-duty collision. As countless Law enforcement officers across America regularly place themselves in harm’s way every day just like Officer Croxton, may Your grace and protection surround every officer at all times. Lord, we ask for Your grace, peace, mercy and comfort to be with Officer Croxton’s family as they cope with this tragic loss. May Your mercies also and touch the men and women of the Dubach Police Department and sustain them with Your presence and comfort as they cope with this loss of their dear friend and co-worker. May Your grace, comfort and peace be with the many firefighters and other law enforcement officers who were present at the time of this collision and had to witness this tragedy firsthand. May Your grace also touch the many paramedics, firefighters and other first responders who assisted in this highly emotional scene and draw them close to Your heart. May You also pour out Your mercy and comfort upon the medical staff at the hospital who so feverishly worked to save Officer Croxton. May You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to effectively investigate this collision. May you use this tragedy as a reminder to every law enforcement officer to be ever vigilant at all times. And as the Dubach Police Department must now prepare a final farewell to Officer Croxton, may You use this service to point many to Jesus Christ. May these words ring true in the hearts of many, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” At this final farewell service for Officer Croxton, may many hear the good news about Jesus and know that, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” May those mourning be comforted by Your presence and may many be drawn to the love of Your Son, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
