Our Merciful Lord, We come earnestly before You Father as we lift up another one of Your servants of righteousness who has been wounded serving his community.  Lord we are thankful this officers injuries are not life threatening and ask that You grant the medical staff wisdom to effectively treat his wounds and restore him.  As we know incidents like this can affect not only the wounded officer but many other co-workers as well, we ask for Your grace and mercy to gently settle upon them and draw them ever so close to Your side.  May you also be with the family of the wounded officer who are rallying at his side to support him and may they rest in Your grace.  We also seek Your mercies for the Barren County Sheriff’s Department as they are in obvious mourning at the loss of Deputy Ernest Franklin.   May You grant the accident investigators wisdom to effectively reconstruct the collision to determine what happened.  May Your peace that passes all understanding gently descend upon the entire Sheriff’s Department as they prepare to say farewell to Deputy Franklin.  May Your grace, mercy, peace and love surround his family as they grieve this tragic loss.  Lord, we continue to lift up the entire law enforcement community in the U.S. and abroad.  Grant every law enforcement professional supernatural wisdom, prudence, instinct and grace to be able to discern danger wherever they go.  May You protect the thousands of men and women who daily drive emergency vehicles.  May they recognize danger and take appropriate action to be able to go home to their families.  May Your name be forever glorified throughout the law enforcement community in the U.S. and across the world.  May many come to know You as their savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ.
