Our Father in Heaven, this past day has been very difficult for law enforcement. We, therefore, come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to lift up a three wounded/stabbed Columbus SWAT, a seriously injured Lafayette Motorcycle Police Officer, and a seriously injured Memphis Police officer into Your arms of love. As we bring each of these servants into Your amazing arms of love and grace, may Your supernatural power descend upon each peace officer as they are being treated at a local trauma hospital. We ask You to grant all medical personnel wisdom to accurately diagnose their injuries/wound(s) and then apply the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery. We especially seek Your Amazing Grace and peace to touch the families of all of these servant-peacemakers as they are likely at their side supporting them at this very emotional time. O’ Lord, pour out Your grace upon each of these wounded/injured peacemakers, their families and especially upon the many other law enforcement officers who were present when these incidents occurred. May You sustain them with Your peace that passes all understanding. We especially seek Your presence and Your grace to descend upon the Memphis police department as they grieve the loss of one of their co-workers. As this investigation is still fluid, may You grant the investigators wisdom to gather all of the facts. May Your peace that passes all understanding be poured out upon the family of this fallen officer who we know are mourning so deeply at this sudden loss. So, Lord, pour out Your grace upon the men and women of the Columbus, Lafayette and Memphis Police Departments. May those who are deeply affected know Your word says, “…they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” As we know these encounters can affect many in varying ways, may Your word as follows comfort many, “Come near to God and he will come near to you.” So Lord, may every officer be drawn ever so near to You by Your Holy Spirit. Grant the investigators in each incident with supernatural wisdom to gather evidence and facts surrounding each investigation. Again, thank You Lord, for sparing the lives of your servants. As the Memphis Police will begin the preparations to say a final farewell to their fallen comrade, may many be drawn to the love of Jesus. And as each peace officer continues to be treated and reflects on their near loss of life, may they know that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. If any officer does not know You, may they know that. “Now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation”. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
